Your Total Guide To business

Bristol Event Catering's 2021 Business Growth & Plans

Today we're talking to James Caesar who is catering director the Bristol Event Catering Co.

April is here – how does this month fit into the ebb & flow of your year?

Well this is an interesting question! We've launched Boxed to really push forward our idea of making event catering accessible to all. With this in mind we are now delivering amazing food nationwide. We are also trying to do a number of pop up events this year as it is nearly impossible for us to assume that we are able to trade as usual and cater for large weddings.

Are you in a business which is either opening up this month – or preparing to open up?

We are preparing to open, with Boxed launching this Easter, and weddings and events happening from May onwards. We're doing things differently though with Boxed so that we can be ready for all eventualities.

What are you most looking forward to as the country tries to ‘open up’?

Getting into the flow of events, seeing people and seeing happy faces again. I run my business to make happy memories, and for such an amazing reward of every day being a special day for our clients.

It’s also Stress Awareness Month, what measures have you taken in your business to reduce the stress on yourself & your team?

We work flexi-hours, and allow for our staff to speak openly on any of their thoughts or concerns.

What do you do personally to support your health and wellbeing?

Routine is key for me, and getting a physical diary has really helped me to stay organised, and mentally well.

Do you see your product/service as one which supports the health and wellbeing of others such as your clients?

It is certainly something that will enable you to see friends and family, and not have to worry about spending time in the kitchen! Head out side, chill out, and enjoy your friends' company!

As the year goes on, will you take health and wellbeing more seriously going forward?

It is always something that we 100% take seriously. Our staff welfare is key to our planning going forwards.

Have you got any big events - personal or business - you are preparing for later this year?

Everything post coronavirus is a massive event for us! It is super important we hit the ground running and smash every event we’ve got!

And finally:

The time has come to start making those plans with pals, get the barbecue on and have a good old chin wag! Our concept and menus expertly curated by Chef Tom Green, he has lovingly worked his magic to ensure that you can enjoy gourmet al fresco dining at home. Available nationwide. And what about the kids? Don't worry we've got you covered, we will even feed the little monsters!
