Business Man Who Woke Up Paralysed Shares His Dramatic Story on The TEDx Stage

Businessman and motivational speaker Jamie McAnsh will be one of the keynote speakers at the prestigious TEDx event in South Wales this week.

Jamie McAnsh is the co-founder of online business community See No Bounds and lives in South Wales with his fiancé and co-founder Charlott.

He has already travelled the UK sharing his story of waking up disabled and has gone on to inspire others to be the best they can be. 

He said: "in January 2014, I woke up paralysed from the waist down which was utterly terrifying. I was diagnosed with a functional neurological condition and I was left having to make a decision about my future. 

"I decided not to focus on a restricted life in a wheelchair, but instead on living life outside the box. I have since climbed a mountain on my bare hands, represented Wales in a variety of sports, and inspired thousands of young people through talking about and trying to demonstrate resilience and determination. I have fallen down many times. The trick is to always get back up!"

TEDx Pontyclun will be held at Pontyclun Community Centre on Thursday with doors opening at 6.30pm.
