Your Total Guide To business

Communication specialists pivot to offer training for people to communicate more effectively online

Speech and communication company London Speech Workshop have introduced a range of online masterclasses to help people communicate more effectively in the virtual world we find ourselves living in.

Founder Emma Serlin said: “Online communication can make being clearly understood even more of a challenge. So with the majority of businesses and teams currently working remotely, clarity and excellent communication skills are more vital than ever.”

The company, which has three offices in London, has worked remotely with clients across the world for many years, so it was quick to move all courses online before the social distancing restrictions.

They have also introduced a range of 90-minute 1-to-1 masterclasses for people who find the new virtual world difficult to navigate when communicating via platforms such as Zoom, Skype or Avaya Spaces.

The masterclasses support you to meet the demands of the new online working environment we all find ourselves in. Ensuring that you can be your virtual best, clearly understood, highly effective and always confident about how you come across.

Founder Emma Serlin said: “As a team we want to offer everyone a positive view during this global pandemic. We’re offering support and ideas to promote personal and professional growth at this time and to do that we’ve set up online masterclasses to help anyone who feels they are not communicating as well as they could in this digital environment.”

The 90-minute Masterclasses, which cost £195 +VAT, will help clients overcome issues around:

  • delivering online presentations effectively.
  • managing (& connecting) your team remotely.
  • preparing for online interviews where confidence is key.
  • grasping the essentials of virtual communication.

Within the first week of launch, the classes are proving popular with those who realise they are struggling with being authentic and confident in a different way.

“If you're a manager or leader there's a good chance the weight of issues on your plate has gone past the normal checklist of concerns. Now, along with the usual items, you need to think about keeping your team positive, engaged and united in unprecedented conditions.  And we are happy to be here to help ease the burden,” adds Emma Serlin.
