Wiltshire Businesswoman Celebrates Being Named One of the UK’s Top 50 Business Advisers

Denise O’Leary of Purpol Marketing will now be considered for national award

Denise O’Leary, founder of South West-based Purpol Marketing has been celebrating this week after being named in the list of the UK’s top 50 business advisers.

In a contest run by small business organisation Enterprise Nation and Experian, Denise was shortlisted in the branding and design category.

The aim is to recognise small business advisers with a credible track record in helping other businesses to grow, develop and succeed.

The next stage is a public vote, where each adviser in the respective category will be named the overall winner.

The competition is recognising expertise in the fields of:

  • branding & design
  • export
  • finance & funding.
  • human resources
  • IT & web support
  • leadership & management.
  • legal
  • public relations
  • sales, marketing & strategy.

Denise said: “I am truly honoured and excited to be on this year’s shortlist of the Top 50 Adviser's 2018. As a marketing business, being nominated for the branding and design category is a massive achievement, and acknowledgement of the projects we deliver on behalf of our clients.”

Judges for the Top 50 included Emma Jones MBE, founder of Enterprise Nation, Sharron Gunn, Director of Members ICAEW, Max Firth, MD of Experian UK&I, Dr Rannia Leontaridi OBE, Director, Business Growth at the Department for Business, Energy & Industrial Strategy, Marc Jantzen, founder, TheNub and Bev James author of Do it! Or Ditch it.

As their companies grow, the founders and senior staff at SMEs often take on a range of responsibilities which are outside of their usual field of expertise. These awards will highlight those who provide professional guidance to the engine of our economy.”
