Excalibur Join Forces with Inner Flame for Charity Project

After meeting last March at the Swindon Business Show, Excalibur Communications and Inner Flame have recently worked together on an IT project for the charity.

Microsoft Gold Partners Excalibur, installed Microsoft Office 365 for the charity and donated full IT support to get them up and running on it.

Inner Flame is a Swindon-based youth charity established in 2008. Its aim is to inspire and support young people to develop their potential, through training, coaching and challenging experiences. Much of the work they do is with unemployed 16-25 year olds, and they are the local delivery partner for The Prince’s Trust Team Programme.  The primary focus is on personal development, particularly confidence, self-esteem and goal setting.

With this in mind, they needed a reliable system to ensure that their processes can be followed easily and efficiently by their staff.

Inner Flame Co-Founder, David Wreathall commented, “Microsoft 365 is a big help for us. It enables us to share and back up files easily and securely plus has all the benefits of Microsoft Exchange, so we can view each others’ calendars and arrange meetings more easily. As a growing organisation, it’s great to know that this is a system that we’ll never grow out of.”

“As a charity, having the software donated by Microsoft saves us money, but if we had been left on our own to set it all up, we would have really struggled; we don’t have an IT Department! That’s where the installation and ongoing support from Excalibur has made such a big difference.”

Beyond the initial uses of the system, Inner Flame plans to use Microsoft 365 and MS Project to implement robust processes, so that staff and volunteers know exactly what tasks need to be done and when, to make the charity’s training programmes run smoothly.
