Expert Trainer in Sports Science Introduces Dry Cupping to Professionals

Dawn Morse, founder of training company Core Elements, is hosting a series of dry cupping courses in the UK - one of the first to offer such training for sports massage therapists and related professionals.

Dawn, who was a senior lecturer for the University of Bath foundation degree in sports therapy and is an associate lecturer with the Open University, will be running her courses from Swindon in Wiltshire and from Haydock near Liverpool with dates starting later this month.

Her Swindon courses are running on Friday May 11, Friday July 13 and Friday October 12.

She said: “Dry cupping is a Western take on an ancient alternative therapy to reduce muscle tension and increase blood flow as part of a massage therapy. Therapists use cups of glass, bamboo or silicon to an area of skin for a few minutes to create suction. The treatment can help with conditions including muscle pain, reduced joint movement, headaches, back pain, stress and anxiety.”

The course is designed for professionals who wish to upskill and offer more effective treatments for clients. It’s accredited by the Federation of Holistic Therapists and equates to eight hours of CPD training.
