Looking forward to Christmas!

What does Christmas 2020 mean for you in your business? 

The lead up to Christmas is usually crazy but the actual Christmas period is quite quiet, which gives us a nice break to spend with family and friends.

Are you a business owner who thinks more of ‘autumn/winter’ rather than Christmas? 

The autumn through to the start of winter is a very busy time for us as restaurants, bars and cafés gear up for their busiest times. Hopefully this year will be similar. However who knows? 

When do you start planning Christmas?

We start the planning in September as regards ordering patterns, schedules, Christmas gift ideas and products.

Will your business be operating differently during Quarter 4 2020? 

We hope not but in the current climate we are expecting to be quieter than usual.

Are you planning any events in Quarter 4, virtual or real world?

Have you got any milestones to share? 

Next year marks four years of producing our 21TEN blend. 

Made in partnership with Above & Beyond, the Bristol Hospital Charity, £1 from each kilo sold goes to support staff and patients in our city centre hospitals.

Have you employed any new staff recently? 

No, but we are starting to look for a new junior engineer to come on board soon

Have you faced some challenges which have changed things for you? 

The COVID-19 situation meant we had to move our business from wholesale to retail very quickly to not waste any products and keep some money coming in. This has resulted in an overall upturn in our retail offering even with lockdown coming to an end.

How are you feeling generally about business in your community at this time? 

Optimistic. As long as people continue to do their bit and try and beat this virus, I think we can all come out of this stronger than before.
