Ofsted Joy for Professional Apprenticeships
Following the recent A-Level and GCSE Results days on the 10th and 12th of August, one local training provider is not only helping young people take their first step on the career ladder, but also celebrating huge success in their recent Ofsted inspection.
Professional Apprenticeships was founded five years ago by two former apprentices Adam Rooke and Carina Bush, the company delivers apprenticeships in Business, Digital Marketing, IT and various Management Qualifications. They currently support hundreds of employers and apprentices throughout the South West.
In 2017 the Government introduced a new register for Apprenticeship Training in England, to raise the quality of training and support. All new providers on this register would receive a monitoring visit to ensure they are meeting the government's expectations in three areas. These areas are Leadership and Management, Quality of Training and the safeguarding of apprentices. Providers are graded in each as insufficient progress, reasonable progress or significant progress.
Professional Apprenticeships achieved what very few Providers have, they scored Significant Progress in all three areas with some extremely complimentary feedback in the publicly published report.
Amongst other things, Ofsted said:
“Staff work closely with employers to identify their requirements for apprenticeships. Staff carefully ensure that the employer can provide sufficient opportunities for apprentices to develop their knowledge, skills, and behaviours at work. These high levels of communication result in an effective and productive relationship that supports each apprentice to make rapid progress in learning new knowledge”.
Founder and Director Adam Rooke said:
“Having been apprentices ourselves, we can appreciate the impact that a well-planned and delivered apprenticeship can have on a person’s life. We have continually driven to better and service and. We are ecstatic to have received this result”.
With such a difficult year for everyone, young people Taking GCSE and A-Levels have been hit particularly hard. Professional Apprenticeships are offering CV support, interview skills and have vacancies across the region.
Carina summarises the feelings of the whole team,
“We are extremely proud to have been recognised for the hard work and dedication we have put into providing an excellent service to both our apprentices and employers. This will allow us to change more people's lives”.
