Your Total Guide To business
Topikki's 2021 Business Growth & Plans
Today we're talking to Gaynor Page who is the Owner and Designer of Topikki. The company create beautiful handcrafted Wedding stationery.
April is here – what are your business plans/products/services this month? How does this month fit into the ebb & flow of your year?
Due to very few weddings taking place during 2020 the Special Occasion Cards have been my motivation. I have loved creating Special birthday and anniversary cards, but I have missed my couples.
Are you in a business which is either opening up this month – or preparing to open up?
As 2021 progresses, more weddings are starting to take place, and whilst wedding-related work slowed, almost to a standstill, it's lovely to be working on them again. But, being very mindful that couples may now be on a reduced budget it's important to look at ways to help couples budget well, especially when looking at their stationery.
What are you most looking forward to as the country tries to ‘open up’ – this can be business or personal?
As we open back into some semblance of normality, helping couples have the BEST day is THE single most important thing that drives Gaynor. Seeing the joy on their faces as they see their packaged, completed stationery for the first time means a job well done. This will be the best thing to return, after the easing of restrctions
It’s also Stress Awareness Month, what measures have you taken in your business to reduce the stress on yourself & your team (if relevant)?
I have done a great deal of learning and reorganising in preparation of providing an even better service
What do you do personally to support your health and wellbeing?
I love fresh air and walking. I drink plenty of water and I always try to get a good night's sleep. Couples can check back on my Fb Lives "5-minutes with..." for some tips for themselves in preparation for their Wedding day... and beyond.
Do you see your product/service as one which supports the health and wellbeing of others such as your clients?
If not in the real sense of well-being, as people understand it, I think generally yes. Knowing that it's one thing they can tick of their To Do their list will ultimately give them peace of mind, and consequently result in one less thing on their minds... Wedding planning is a stressful time for couples so anything that can reduce that is a bonus
As the year goes on, will you take health and wellbeing more seriously going forward?
I am already trying to do this, and will certainly be trying to make further improvements as we come away from the severity of recent restrictions. It was one of my 'learnings' during 2020
Have you got any big events - personal or business - you are preparing for later this year?
Alittle more long-term, potentially into the Spring of 2022, I am on the process of writing a book to help couples with Wedding Preparations. So all I can say is... WATCH THIS SPACE!
Have you got any Spring services or special offers you’d like to mention?
Remember that Topikki offers several ways having their stationery made. There are two DIY options, Choices from the Designer ranges or Bespoke.
It's also important for couples to know that opting for a Bespoke Design doesn't nean blowing the budget.
Topikki offers a free, no-obligation consultation to discuss the couples' requirements, so, other than about an hour of time, they have nothing to lose and hopefully much to gain
Anything else you’d like to say?
The Stationery that is created for you, the couple, will have you at its heart. It will reflect your personalities and/or life-style, and it will be made with pure passion, to give of my best and surpass your expectations.
