Weightlifting display at Business in Sport’s first Business Summit of 2020

Fast-growing business club, Business in Sport is bringing all the excitement and drama of weightlifting to its next event this month as two British Tokyo 2020 hopefuls will be there to deliver a powerful display of live weightlifting!

The two athletes are looking to attract sponsorship to help them achieve their dreams of reaching the Olympics in Japan later this year and then the home Commonwealth Games in 2022, and Business in Sport is hosting this special business summit to showcase how Bristol business is able to sponsor them on this road, as well as support many other local sporting stars of the future.

“Weightlifters are just some of the sporting stars of the future we are hoping our members can help,” says Business in Sport founder and former professional footballer David Smith. “We want our members, who all share a passion for sport, to be able to help as many of them as possible realise their dreams, while at the same time raise the profile of their businesses through sport.”

Business in Sport is a business members club with a growing membership base that gives back to grassroots sport in the region. Members are invited to all club events, which are designed to bring businesses together to network and to help local talent rise to the top. Members also invest in local sport at the grassroots level.

The Business summit, which takes place at The Village Hotel in Filton on February 27 from 6.30pm to 8.30pm, will also be offering those who attend the opportunity to meet and support a local driver who will be racing at this year’s Le Mans endurance race.

The event is free to attend and it will provide all those who do come along with a unique insight into the world of sporting opportunity in the South West and the chance to learn more about the impact sport has on accelerating business success as well as the vital role business has in taking rising sports stars to the next level.
