The Bristol school named ‘second best in the world’

Venturers Academy, a South Bristol school, has been named the second-best school in the world for overcoming adversity!

Located in Withywood on the Merchants Academy campus, Venturers Academy first made headlines by breaking into the world’s top ten in the T4 Education World’s Best School Prizes back in June, later reaching the top three in September.

The top spot went to the First Ukrainian School in Poland, founded to support children displaced by the Russian invasion, now educating 1,500 students across three locations in Poland.

Venturers Academy shares its runner-up title with the Rising Academy in Sierra Leone. This special school, now part of the E-ACT multi-academy trust, is celebrated for its efforts to help students triumph over challenges.

The school, known for innovative adventures like the 2019 “Wettest Classroom on Earth,” where students sailed around Britain, plans to take on a desert trek, the “Driest Classroom on Earth,” in Oman next year.
