Your Total Guide To eating and drinking

Aqua's Countdown to Reopening

As of the 4th July, the government announced that restaurants may reopen as long as they adhere to the correct safety guidelines. Aqua restaurants in Bristol are doing exactly that as they prepare their countdown for reopening.

They have been working tirelessly to be able to overcome the challenges lockdown has given them as well as preparing for the future.

Their first priority when reopening is the safety of customers and their employees and when they reopen their, Bristol Whiteladies and Portishead restaurants, on the 4th July they are going to be following these 7 key guidelines:

1. Their staff are receiving regular training on our new standards regarding COVID-19 health & safety protocols. The measures include hand hygiene, wearing masks if mandated and social distancing. Employees will also be asked to stay home and seek medical attention if they, or someone in their household, has any COVID-19 symptoms.

2. When you arrive at one of the restaurants their employees will act as your guide, sensitively communicating all the new hygiene, health and safety measures including temperature checks, so you can move around the restaurants, knowing that you are safe and being looked after with the greatest of care.

3. Hand sanitiser, in touchless dispensers whenever possible, will also be available.

4. They have increased the frequency of cleaning and sanitising at the restaurants. This applies to all public spaces with an emphasis on deep cleaning frequent contact surfaces. These areas include: door handles, public bathrooms, dining surfaces and seating areas. This cleaning regime will also apply to back of house frequent contact surfaces.

5. Their cleaning products and protocols meet country specific guidelines for approved effective use against viruses and bacteria.

6. They will meet required guidelines for proper social distancing. Where legally mandated, patrons and employees will practice social distancing whenever possible, by standing at least 1m distance.

7. All of their restaurants will also observe social distancing and comply with mandated occupancy limits. These areas will be deep cleaned and sanitised once per hour and after each use, including tables, seating, menus and payment machines.

They look forward to welcoming their customers back!
