Your Total Guide To eating and drinking

Bristol Craft Beer Festival 2019

Another year for Bristol to welcome another excellent Craft Beer Festival, taking place at Lloyds Amphitheatre, the rain certainly didn't dampen any spirits. This year with a lineup of all-star female DJs hitting the decks throughout the weekend, playing funky house tunes.

On entering, you are given your own personal glass for the evening, you can sample every single beer on offer, with over 40 breweries so there is a lot to try... If you fancy mixing things up, cider, whisky and English sparkling wine were on offer too!

All the staff were friendly and very knowledgeable, many made good suggestions for what beer to try according to tastes, but it's definitely worth trying something different as you may discover a new favourite.

Samples of delicious beef jerky and pork scratchings were available to taste, the perfect accompaniment to beer. Another addition to this year was the fantastic Swoon Gelato who were giving out samples of their special 'beer' gelato.

The atmosphere is always great at the craft beer fest, with long benches for people to sit and chat, cosy undercover areas and an area in front of the DJ if you fancy a dance. There was also a delicious range of Bristol food traders if you suddenly get peckish after all the beer.

We can't wait for next year already... Cheers Bristol!
