Your Total Guide To eating and drinking
The free event, which takes place from Friday 9 August to Sunday 11 August will introduce extraordinary opportunities to make guests’ Fiesta experience truly soar. In addition to the Fiesta’s Sky Lounge, an exclusive area with a vantage point of the main launch field, organisers have announced a culinary experience like no other, with the event partnering with Bristol favourite, Pasture to bring a new fine dining restaurant to the edge of the arena.
If that’s not enough, this year visitors can also purchase tickets for Sky Lounge GLOW: Launch Field Access, during the renowned Nightglow events, when the balloons tether and light up in sequence to a soundtrack of music by BBC Radio Bristol. Due to the change to three days, the Nightglows will this year take place on Friday 9 and Saturday 10 August.
Pasture at the Fiesta
Operating four sittings on Friday and Saturday, and three on Sunday, Pasture’s on-site restaurant will sit in a prime location on the edge of the main arena, offering exclusive and jaw dropping views to pair with delicious and carefully curated food and drink.
As well as offering a hearty breakfast with unlimited tea and coffee, guests will be able to book tickets for two-course lunches, and two-course dinners. Guests will be served a selection of Pasture classics, as well as exclusive dishes that have never been seen in the restaurant previously.
To complete this once in a lifetime culinary experience, Pasture will also be offering a spectacular meal of four exquisite courses, in the perfect location to witness the Fiesta’s main event – the Night Glow. On arrival, guests will receive complimentary bubbly, or a non-alcoholic alternative, to celebrate one of the city’s most anticipated moments of the year.
Tickets will be sold as tables, with each table accommodating 4-6 guests. Due to anticipated high demand, guests are encouraged to book tickets as soon as possible.
Ben Hardy, Balloon Fiesta Executive Director said; “We’re thrilled to partner with Pasture for this year’s Fiesta. As one of Bristol’s favourite restaurants, we know there will be extremely high demand to taste the incredible options they have planned for us!
“This is the first time we’ve offered such an outstanding dining experience for guests, and with front row views of the action, I’m certain this will prove to be an unforgettable memory for everyone who dines there.”
Sam Elliott, Chef & Owner at Pasture, commented: “The whole Pasture team is so excited to be working with the Bristol International Balloon Fiesta. We’re passionate about providing incredible food and drinks to our city, and there isn’t a more iconic place for us to do so than with a restaurant in the centre of Ashton court at the Balloon Fiesta this summer. The event attracts people from far and wide and we can’t wait to serve everyone and make their experience a memorable one.”
Sky Lounge
Once again, Fiesta visitors will have the opportunity to purchase tickets to the event’s Sky Lounge, an exclusive, tented area with its own dedicated bar on the edge of the arena. Sky Lounge will operate a series of sessions each day, offering guests access during either the morning, throughout the day into the early evening, and the two Nightglows.
The area offers complimentary Wi-Fi, a dedicated cash bar and toilets, as well as entertainment and arts and crafts, courtesy of Junkfish for various sessions.
Sky Lounge GLOW: Launch Field Access
For a true once in a lifetime experience, new for 2024 Fiesta organisers have released just 100 tickets to allow visitors to access the launch field during the event’s famous Nightglows. This year the Nightglows will take place on Friday 9 and Saturday 10 August, as part of the change to a three-day format.
Those taking up this unique offer will also have access to Sky Lounge for the Nightglow session, receive a complimentary drink on arrival and enjoy entertainment to keep the celebration going after the Nightglow until 11pm.
