Recipe: Mulled Cider
Get that festive feeling by following Mel Hutchfield's cheap and easy recipe for hot mulled cider.
Less heavy than mulled wine, this is quick to make and very easy to drink – perfect after a long walk or to welcome guests. The recipe serves 4 but can easily be multiplied.
Ingredients:
- 2 litres good medium dry cider
- 4 tsp brown sugar
- 1 cinnamon stick
- 4 cloves
- 3 star anise
- 2cm piece root ginger, peeled and sliced in half lengthways
- 2 limes cut in half
Method:
1. Put all the ingredients in a pan
2. Bring to just under the boil
3. Simmer for 20mins
4. Serve and enjoy
