An Evening at Future Inn Hotel Bristol

Love for Bristol went along to experience the Jazz at Future Inns and has written the following review of her evening;

Last week I had the pleasure of being invited to an evening of dining and jazz at the Future Inn hotel located just near Cabot Circus, Bristol. This hotel is in a fantastic City-centre spot not far from Temple Meads train station, with many popular Bristol hotspots closeby, guests also receive free parking!

Friendly staff welcomed me and other Bristol-based bloggers, we began by enjoying a glass of prosecco whilst exploring the bar area and mingling. The spacious, relaxed bar area is also attached to the dining area where I then took my seat ready for the 3-course dinner from Chophouse restaurant. 3 courses cost a reasonable £18.00 between 6pm-9.30pm. For starter, I ordered - Garlic and herb creamy mushrooms on toasted focaccia, this was a tasty dish that was perfect in size.

The choice of the main dishes had vegetarian, vegan, fish and meat dishes, so don't let the name Chophouse fool you! I opted for the half a rack of ribs, BBQ sauce, southern slaw and chunky chips. It was a big portion with lots of delicious chunky chips, I did feel that the ribs could have had more BBQ sauce smothered on them but they still left us full and satisfied. I finished the meal with the sticky toffee pudding with muscovado and brandy sauce, this reminded me of Christmas time. It was very rich and filling so save room for this one!

After the meal, we had a tour of the hotel allowing us to view the rooms on offer. The rooms were very well presented and spacious. Each guest receives a complimentary dressing gown and slippers and I think this is a lovely, welcoming touch. The rooms were very quiet, considering they are located right in the heart of a busy City this surprised me. Room prices start at only £67 per night which is very reasonable considering the location.

To end the evening I headed to the clubroom in the downstairs area of the restaurant. Every Thursday the jazz club takes place hosting a range of fantastic jazz acts in a wonderful, intimate setting. The entrance is £10.00 but it is totally worth it if you are looking for a relaxing evening watching talented jazz musicians perform. I had the pleasure of watching Grammy Nominated artist Becki Biggins take to the stage with her incredible soulful vocals, I loved her passion and charming personality. The atmosphere and lighting created a trendy, sophisticated vibe, a perfect date location!

Future Inn is a wonderful hotel that offers both valuable food and high-class entertainment, an ideal hotel choice if you are visiting Bristol. For more information click here.
