Your Total Guide To entertainment
The 'Fishing for Change' project, funded by Great Western Railway’s Customer and Community Improvement Fund, invites participants to explore Bristol’s harbourside while engaging in an eco-friendly activity.
The experience includes train travel to Bristol Temple Meads and a guided tour of the harbourside. Participants will also embark on a ferry boat tour and take part in a unique litter-picking challenge aboard the SeaCycle. Attendees will use collected litter to create artistic 'litter fish’ during the boat ride. The SeaCycle is a nine-seater vessel made from recycled plastic bottles, which is one of 6 in the world.
The project has already hosted four successful trips, with additional outings scheduled for 20th, 21st, 22nd August and 2nd September. Families can book their places through the Fishing for Change website.
This initiative is a collaborative effort supported by Great Western Railway, Sustainable Hive CIC, Severnside Community Rail Partnership, Crimestoppers, and Bristol Community Ferry Boats.
