New Live Music Venue | The Den | Dockside

Love for Bristol has been out and about and went to The Den - Dockside to let us know her thoughts of the venue and her whole experience!

Day to night, plant-based cafe and live music venue The Den - Dockside is the newest spot in town for a chilled nightlife experience. With the ever-popular sister cafe Beets N' Roots on Cotham Hill taking centre stage serving up organic, fresh cocktails and food, I was invited to check out the new venue on a Friday night.

Heading straight to the bar, the barman handed me a cocktail menu and informed me that all the cocktails are vegan-friendly and made with fresh, organic ingredients. I went for a berry-based, vodka and limoncello one, I really enjoyed it! The music stage is located downstairs, the sound system was of a high-quality, with a small dancefloor in the middle.

There is a special VIP area upstairs with comfy sofas and pillows, this allows you to sit and relax whilst enjoying a view of the band playing downstairs. There is also Level Cuts barbershop upstairs.

The Den - Dockside specialises in funk, soul, reggae, jazz and world music. Spanish musician Garcia was playing when I visited, a talented act that created a specialised chilled sound.

The atmosphere was very mellow, I spotted some creative artwork and I loved the piece by famous Bristol graffiti artist Inkie. If you are looking for a relaxed venue that offers a diverse range of live music, then this is the place to visit.
