The touring musician’s art show which is curated by the independent live booking agency, Yuppies Music, was created as a response to the Covid-19 pandemic and is a celebration of the visual art created by a host of international acclaimed musicians throughout 2020.
Featuring renowned musicians from a wide spectrum of genres, Super Cool Drawing Machine features the work of trailblazing saxophonist and figure head of the UK jazz scene Shabaka Hutchings, Mercury-nominated Welsh singer/producer Cate Le Bon, experimental folk musician Richard Dawson, Turner Exhibiting African-American experimentalist Lonnie Holley, celebrated drummer/composer Seb Rochford as well as members of This is the Kit, Mammal Hands, Haiku Salut, Snapped Ankles and many more.
Todd Wills, creative director at Bristol Beacon said: “It feels amazing to welcome a live performance back after such a long time and the first one ever as Bristol Beacon. This tour represents the incredible art that can come out of uncertain times and we’re thrilled to support the artists who have made this show something truly spectacular.”
Bristol is the penultimate stop on the Super Cool Drawing Machine tour which will travel the country for performances in York, Birkenhead, Margate, Norwich and London.
