Bristol Airport’s 10 Million Passenger Milestone Giveaway

Bristol Airport has achieved a historic milestone, welcoming 10 million passengers in a consecutive twelve-month period for the first time ever. To commemorate this achievement, the airport gave away free flights to a select group of passengers.

Ten lucky travellers were randomly chosen and received gifts from Bristol Airport, including return airline tickets, retail and catering vouchers and other special items. The airport's brand partnerships of WHSmith, World Duty Free Thatchers Cider, JD Sports and Boots UK helped carry out is giveaway. One passenger was selected to win a free trip to Malta with airline easyJet!

120 direct destinations in 31 countries are available to fly to from Bristol Airport, currently. It also provides daily hub services to Frankfurt, Amsterdam, Dublin, and Paris, connecting to hundreds of worldwide destinations.

A major transformation program has been launched, amongst this achievement, with £400 million being invested over the next five years. Planned projects include the installation of state-of-the-art security screening equipment, refurbishment of the Air Traffic Control Tower, and various terminal improvements. Their food and shopping services are also part of the plan, with 38 outlets being created or upgraded. Two new Executive Lounges are set to open, with one opening this year in December.

Bristol Airport’s capacity is aimed to rise to 12 million passengers per year as an impact of these developments. This would create thousands of new jobs, establishing new direct air links, and increasing inbound tourism for the region.
