THE BRISTOL HIPPODROME TO RUN A FOOD DRIVE FOR SOUTH & EAST BRISTOL FOODBANK IN PARTNERSHIP WITH COME FROM AWAY

Come From Away will reach the Bristol Hippodrome Tue 20 – Sat 31 Aug.

The smash hit show shares the incredible real-life story of the 7,000 air passengers from all over the world who were grounded in Canada during the wake of 9/11, and the small Newfoundland community that invited these ‘come from aways’ into their lives with open hearts.

This beautiful musical encourages acts of kindness and that’s why the theatre and the Producers of Come From Away have partnered up to help the community by running a food drive for a local foodbank.

The Bristol Hippodrome will host a food drive from Tue 20 – Sat 31 Aug. Staff will be participating and patrons attending the show will also be encouraged to donate.

A donation spot will be set up within the theatres Box Office. Patron’s attending the theatre will have the chance to drop their donations off before seeing the show (the Box Office is open 90 minutes before the show begins). Anyone not seeing the show is also welcome to make a donation during the Box Office opening times.

Come From Away is at the Bristol Hippodrome Tue 20 – Sat 31 Aug. For tickets, visit - www.atgtickets.com/shows/hamilton/bristol-hippodrome/

ABOUT THE TRUSSELL TRUST

Our foodbank is part of The Trussell Trust’s network of over 1400 food bank distribution centres, working to tackle food poverty and hunger in our local communities, as well as across the UK.

The Foodbank Network was founded in 2004 after four years of developing the original foodbank based in Salisbury. Since then The Trussell Trust has helped communities work together to launch foodbanks nationwide in a wide range of towns and cities.

In 2023/24, food banks in the Trussell Trust’s network provided 3,121,404 three-day emergency food supplies and support to UK people in crisis. Of these, 1,144,096 were distributed for children.

As a network, we want to see more people helped out of crisis and fewer people needing foodbanks in the future. That’s why The Trussell Trust and local foodbanks are working together to develop new ways to help people out of crisis through programmes like More Than Food.
