Door drop company goes green with tree-planting scheme

A door-to-door distribution company is branching out into tree planting
and tree care to support a forest charity and further boost its green
credentials.

Design Print Distribution Group Ltd – based in Bristol and covering the South West - already uses recycled or sustainably and ethically sourced paper and ink for its leaflets and flyers.

Now the environmentally aware business is supporting Forest of Avon Trust, which promotes, plants and cares for trees and woodlands throughout the Forest of Avon area, in and around Bristol and Avon. Design Print Distribution Group’s Managing Director Mike Ethridge and his team are funding the planting and care of local trees for every
ongoing client they take on, which could add up to 100 newly planted trees a year.

“We already support the community, by sponsoring some local football and cricket teams, and Bristol Pantomime Productions theatre group,” said Mike. “We were looking to do something with more of an environmental
focus, because when people think about leafleting they think about the use of paper. We always use paper from a sustainable source, or it is recycled, and our print is also sustainable and ethically sourced. Indeed The Green Party is one of our clients. But we wanted to do more, and supporting Forest of Avon Trust is perfect, as it is a local charity and is all about the environment.”

Design Print Distribution Group specialises in door-to-door leafleting in major towns and cities from Swindon to Bristol, Bath and Cardiff, down to Plymouth and across to Exeter, also offering a graphic design
and print service.

The company has made the first donation and the first ten trees will be planted and cared for in local woodlands from November 2020, on behalf of Design Print Distribution Group clients. These clients include Bath Stone estate agents, Bristol-based garden rooms designer Cedar Spaces and JPM Beds of Exeter.
