easyJet expands operations at Bristol Airport with new routes and aircraft

easyJet has announced an expansion at Bristol Airport, adding two new routes to Almeria in Spain and Palermo in Sicily, as well as basing a 19th aircraft at the airport starting in June 2025.

The growth is set to support approximately 400 jobs and strengthen the airline’s regional operations.

The new year-round service to Almeria will begin on 24 June 2025, operating twice weekly on Tuesdays and Saturdays. 

Meanwhile, the summer-only route to Palermo will launch on 26 June 2025, offering flights on Thursdays and Sundays.

To accommodate the increased demand, easyJet will add an Airbus A320 family aircraft to its Bristol fleet, bringing the total to 19. 

Each UK-based aircraft is estimated to support £27 million in gross value added (GVA) and create hundreds of direct and indirect jobs.
