Gadget Show Presenter Takes Centre Stage At Opening Of New Clinic

Olympic star and Gadget Show presenter Amy Williams MBE was the special guest at a champagne reception to celebrate the opening of the Medikas Clinic in Bristol on September the 25th.

Over 50 invited guests, including business owners from across the West Country, joined her at the event at 20 Whiteladies Road, Clifton, Bristol. They celebrated with the Medikas team run by business partners Dr Beatriz Molina and Dr Ian Strawford.

Dr Molina and Dr Strawford have spent a year renovating the property in Whiteladies Road to turn it into a state-of-the-art clinic offering a range of face, body and skin treatments.  Medikas already has clinics in Somerset and Bath.

Dr Strawford said: “It was wonderful to celebrate this journey with our guests and to show them this fantastic facility. For too long, this type of service has been seen as being something on offer in London – no longer.

“Our clinic is at the forefront of innovation in this field and we are also one of the founding members of Save Face, a new trade organisation to promote best practice in a sector which is largely unregulated. We’re working hard to change that. Safety is central to everything we offer.”

During the evening, guests were also introduced to MK Minerals, a new line of pure mineral make-up products designed by Dr Molina to protect and help the skin. Special guest Amy Williams will be the face of MK Minerals and wore the brand’s evening look on the night. The products will be officially launched later this year.

Amy said: “I’m thrilled to be helping to support MK Minerals as these products are good for the skin, allowing it to breathe naturally. As a former athlete and an active person, health and beauty are important to me every day and I’m very choosy about the products I use.”

Medikas Bristol offers services to promote skin health and treat the signs of aging. These include wrinkle injections, dermal fillers and skin tightening through to cellulite treatment, mole removal and help with weight loss.

In 2009 Medikas’s Somerset clinic was named Best Small Clinic in the UK in the Aesthetic Medicine Awards. Two years later, it also received an award for The Best New Clinic for its Bath premises. Last year it was runner up for the Best Clinic in the UK. Medikas can be found at http://medikasmedispa.co.uk
