Security Enhanced at Former Bristol Zoo Gardens Following Break-Ins

Bristol Zoo Gardens has increased security measures at its former Clifton site after experiencing several break-ins.

Although the zoo closed to the public in September 2022, some animals, including gorillas, remain on-site awaiting relocation to the new Bristol Zoo Project. 

The recent intrusions have caused distress among the animals, particularly the gorillas, as security alarms are triggered during break-ins.

The zoo has urged the public to help prevent further incidents by sharing information about the situation.
