TGt Meets Love for Bristol
TGt Meets Love for Bristol - We talk about how and why she became a blogger and the advice she would give to aspiring bloggers.
How long have you lived in Bristol and why did you choose to live here?
I have lived in Bristol all my life. I moved to Cheltenham for University for 3 years, but I decided to return to Bristol as there were more opportunities for me here and the City’s independent bar and food scene had flourished rapidly which interested me a lot.
What do you think attracts people to Bristol?
The diversity, the beautiful picturesque harbourside and the incredible food scene!
Describe Bristol in 3 words…
Colourful, unique, creative.
Where is your favourite place in Bristol and why?
It is hard to choose just one place, but honestly, I just love The Hatchet! It is my favourite Bristol City centre pub, I visit monthly and always have the best time. The staff and clientele are amazing. It is also one of the oldest Bristol pubs and apparently Blackbeard the famous pirate used to drink there!
What do you do and why?
I work for an independent well-established Bristol wellbeing company full time and in my spare time, I enjoy blogging about my life in Bristol. I enjoy helping an independent business expand and I love showing off how great my home City Bristol is. I think it is important to do what you love and have a passion for.
Describe your work in three words.....
Honest, fun and engaging.
What is the single most critical talent you possess for what you do?
I try to be genuine and stick to representing things I enjoy, not because someone has told me to.
What advice would you give anyone looking to do the same?
I would say find a real reason why you want to create a blog and try being as genuine as possible! Showcase your passion for something you enjoy and ask yourself if you think others would enjoy it too.
What has been your biggest achievement to date?
I am genuinely just proud that people take the time to read my blog and follow my social media channels! I also love it when people ask my advice about where to go to in Bristol for a particular occasion.
Are there any other methods of showing your passion for Bristol that you would want to explore?
It would be cool to feature on a Bristol radio show or be part of some tourism videos for the city.
Tell us what your next project is and why!
I am actually in the middle of working on an exciting collaboration with a favourite Bristol lunch-time spot and caterer. Keep following my Instagram to find out more!
