Had a wonderful surprise yesterday evening when son in law Ross drove Florence to our house. She was so excited and they stayed in the front garden while we chatted and Florence and I kissed through the front window.
This was followed later by our weekly family quiz and this week hubby and I managed to finish in 3rd place, so we managed to creep up one more place. Liz and Ross took the honours of coming first.
Got out of the house for an exciting trip; a visit to the petrol station LOL! But it was great to see people on the local golf course enjoying the great outdoors all at a social distance naturally.
To quote Andy Warhol "In the future everyone will be famous for 15 minutes"... and Florence and I might achieve a couple of minutes of that LOL.
As mentioned in week 3 of my blog I was approached by Channel 4 who were making a programme on the elderly and self isolating. They were particularly keen on me singing my nightly lullabies to my darling granddaughter Florence. Well the programme airs on Channel 4 this Wednesday 20th May at 9pm and is called 'Old Alone and Stuck at Home'. Not so sure about the Old and Alone as I certainly don't feel that but I am stuck at home LOL. Am half excited and half nervous as my singing is horrendous (I don't think Simon Cowell will be knocking on my door any time soon!) and also no chance to have had a hairdo or professional make up! The worst thing of lockdown has to be not physically seeing my family and not hugging my darling Florence.
Finding Killing Eve a bit slow at the moment but loving Normal People on BBC1. A great love story and whilst some have criticised the sex scenes I thought they were filmed beautifully and not at all gratuitous. Looking forward to seeing how it pans out for the couple.
Well that's all folks for another week.
Stay well and keep safe.
Love, Patricia
