We recommend
1. Regularly Check the Engine Oil
When it comes to a car engine, it requires a substantial amount of lubrication to function in top-notch condition. If you own a car, it is essential to know that over time, the oil tends to get dirty, which needs to be changed.
Keep an eye on your engine oil level and make sure the oil isn’t leaking. If the oil level is low then fill the tank up straight away and make sure to be accurate with the measurements so that you don't overfill! Use a dipstick for checking and park the vehicle on an even surface at that time to get the correct reading.
2. Maintain Tyre Air Pressure
Tyres are probably the most neglected part of the vehicle, despite being the most essential. Even if your car is standing still and not being used too often, your tyres can still lose pressure even if you aren't driving your vehicle. To ensure your tires are properly inflated, you need to maintain their air pressure regularly.
To maintain correct air pressure, it comes highly recommended to get them inspected once a month. Make sure that all four of the tyres are inflated to the right PSI.
Perhaps your car may need new tyres, If you want to get winter tyres for your car, you can get them from the DAT Tyre garage.
3. Wash Your Car Regularly
Another important maintenance tip which you should follow regularly is to wash your car every week. It may sound a bit of an obvious tip for taking care of your car but if possible, wash the body each week and care to remove the road salt and dirt from the fender wells and undercarriage.
Whether your car is new or a few years old, you should undergo regular car washing to make it look shiny and well-maintained.
4. Check the Brakes
Safety is paramount when it comes to driving a car so to keep yourself safe, check your brakes at least two or three times a year, and even more if you drive frequently and longer distances.
You will need to remove the wheels and check the condition of the rotors, pads, drums, and other parts. Go to a servicing shop if you are not too good with a motor.
Taking care of your car’s parts, along with complying with safety standards such as the Progressive Safe System, is key to reducing risks and ensuring road safety.
5. Keep the Interior Clean
A car can act like a second home to most people nowerdays as most of us spend a significant amount of time driving our cars.
We can neglect our car interiors as they get messy and dirty easily, which also means driving in a messy car can be uncomfortable, so prioritise cleaning them more reguraly and you'll feel much more comfortable drving in a clean space.
