Your Total Guide To business

Jodie Fraser

SOUTH WEST BUSINESS WOMAN JODIE FRASER SHORTLISTED AS FEMALE ENTREPRENEUR OF THE YEAR

Jodie Fraser, founder and managing director of Fraser Allen Estate Management is thrilled to have been shortlisted for the Female Entrepreneur of the Year Award in the Great British Business & Community Awards.

“I’m honoured to be short-listed for this prestigious award,” Jodie said. “I know several of the other finalists and I’m in fantastic company and I’m humbled to be counted among them.”

The Female Entrepreneur of the Year Award is open to any female within Great Britain who has either started their own business, played a significant role within an organisation or has either a business directorship or leadership role. The judges wanted to know how the nominee has adapted, diversified, contributed to the community and survived during the current Covid-19 pandemic.

During the main 2020 lockdown, Jodie set up a team of volunteers to help those who were vulnerable or shielding and living in her company’s managed properties. From shopping for food to giving residents a call to check in, and from collecting prescriptions and medicines to posting letters, Jodie and her team made sure that no one felt alone or needed to worry about managing essentials.

Jodie’s business doubled in size during the pandemic to include offices in Bristol and Cheltenham as well as managing developments in Bristol, Cheltenham, London, Bath and Wiltshire. Recently she expanded her five and half year old business to Bromsgrove in the West Midlands.

Fraser Allen is well respected in the industry and has already won a collection of cawards that recognises the company as a dementia-friendly business with an ethos for caring and compassion.

It is in Jodie’s make-up to be driven and ambitious and Jodie believes that she owes her success to genuinely caring about her clients and residents and understanding their needs. “I don’t see the properties I manage as buildings,” she said, “but as homes with residents that need to be looked after.”

This year, there were over 1600 nominations and the standard of entrants was so high that a record-breaking number were shortlisted for the awards across all the award categories. Each winner is truly deserving of recognition for their achievements.

Jackie Chappell, the first female CEO of British Rail and renowned entrepreneur was part of the judging panel and said: “Judging this year’s awards was tough. Every entry was of a very high standard and each one was unique, which made the decision harder. I’m very proud of the quality of businesses that we have in this region and these awards give them the true recognition that they deserve.”

Shortlisted nominees will discover who the worthy winners are at the Great British & Community Awards presentation on Thursday 7th April from 4pm-9pm at The Hilton, Reading. To find out more about Fraser Allen Property Management, visit https://www.fraserallenem.co.uk.
