• followed by a short introduction to Self Build principles – finding a plot, different building systems, planning and building control.
• 7:30 - 7:50 – Tom McSherry, BuildStore - How to Fund a Project – Tom explains the methods of raising finance and the importance of setting a budget and controlling costs throughout the project.
• 7:50 - 8:10 – Jenny Chandela, AC Architects - Design Principles – Jenny looks at how you can achieve the best design for your dream home, whether it's finding a plan to suit your family's changing needs or how you can maximise a plots potential!
• 8:10 - 8:30 – Andrew Jones – VAT Reclaims – Under VAT Notice 431, any new dwellings are entitled to Zero VAT on materials and labour. Know how to maximise your claim.
• 8:30 - 9:00 – Q&A with tonight’s panel.
