Cabot Circus Reopening Date and Plans for Future Announced
Following the latest government lockdown announcement and guidelines, Cabot Circus has announced that it will officially re-open on June 15th.
While lockdown has been in place, all essential stores like banks have remained open in the Bristol shopping quater as well as a few restaurants allowing deliveries only. However from June 15th, the city shopping centre will officialliy reopen to the public, with more shops opening their doors to customers.
They have mentioned that they will announce which shops will make a return on their website, closer to the date.
The complex bosses also revealed their plans for safety measures to be put in place during shopping visits, here are a few to be introduced immediately:
- Clear signage reminding customers of the need to follow social distancing guidelines and to avoid shopping in large groups.
- Social media, digital displays and tannoy announcements to remind visitors of how to stay safe within the complex.
- Enhanced cleaning processes, with a clear focus on key customer touch points.
- Live monitoring of footfall to ensure there isnt too many people in the centre at a time.
- Introduction to queuing outside the complex and shops when required to manage capacity.
- Installation of fixed hand sanitising stations throughout the centre.
- All customer-facing colleagues will wear protective clothing.
- Customers will be encouraged to use contactless payments with retailers for transactions.
