Pedal For The Pavillion
Somerset County Cricket Club is looking for local people to be part of the next event in the Somerset Pavilion Appeal calendar.
From September 29th to October 3rd you'll be able to join Marcus Trescothick as he and the players will get on the saddle and cycle around the West Country as part of “Pedal for the Pavilion”.
The event begins in St Austell, Cornwall and throughout the five days the riders will travel up to Bath via Plymouth, Exeter and Yeovil before finishing in Taunton. The combined distance of “Pedal for the Pavilion” is roughly 300 miles and will hand you the opportunity to take in some of the most beautiful scenery on offer in the region.
Participation in this spectacular event costs just £50 per person plus a minimum of £200 sponsorship per day, which includes lunch, water and snacks. You can choose to ride for one day or for more if desired.

The Somerset Pavilion Appeal was launched with one major objective: to raise funds for an exciting new development which will enhance Somerset County Cricket Club both on and off the field.
The new facility will comprise high-quality covered seating behind the bowlers arm, along with a large bar and entertainment area, excellent corporate/media facilities and a stunning roof top viewing area.
Work on the Somerset Pavilion is expected to begin at the end of the 2014 season and once completed the new building will see the ground at the standard required to host cricket at an international level.
